Mike Belatti


Mike Belatti is continuing his career at Equicorp Partners after receiving his MBA at the Goizueta Business School. Previously, Mike spent two years in Guatemala perfecting micro consignment models and creating business ventures for socially minded entrepreneurs. Mike possesses a unique entrepreneurial spirit, made up of a keen sense of financial sustainability, a desire for positive social change, and the ability to generate real impact. He has been recognized by business leaders and socially responsible innovators as someone they would most want to have on their team as they explore new markets, new endeavors and new initiatives.

Never at a loss for generating new projects, Mike has learned to distinguish the difference between those ideas that simply feel good and those that have the ability to create lasting profitability. He has begun to apply that experience in the due diligence and modeling work he is doing for Equicorp Partners. In his capacity as the Director of Development, Mike has worked side by side with the founding partners of the firm, assisting them with the financial and strategic investigations of potential investment opportunities.

Mike is also well qualified to operate full service restaurants and understands the realities of managing an ongoing business. Mike participates in all aspects of restaurant development, from real estate and facility design, to technology and restaurant operations, including local area marketing, financial management, hiring, training, and cooking in the kitchen.

Mike graduated from The Goizueta Business School at Emory University with a concentration in Marketing and Finance. While at Emory, he served on the Social Council and Advisory Board of the One Year Accelerated MBA Program. In addition, Mike was a Leadership Coaching Fellow at Goizueta in order to mentor teams and teach effective leadership skills. He continues to learn the difference between good ideas and great ones, the varying degrees of economic realities in different types of markets, how to turn a profit, how to create impact, and how to build sustainable and replicable growth models.
